What is the criteria to apply for reservation as an OBC

I'm 17 years old and qualified for iit. I belong to obc category. My father is a servant of government (3 rd grade) and his salary is more than 8 lakh. So should i able to get reservations?
As per the latest criterion for deciding creamy layer under OBCs, any person whose household income is more than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum and belongs to OBC category will not be able to avail the benefit of reservation because he/she would fall under creamy layer. This new income limit has been decided after relaxing the earlier limit which was Rs. 6 lakhs per annum. From what you have stated, it is clear that you fall under the category of creamy layer and hence can't avail the benefit of reservation.
