Transfer certificate from school
14-May-2025 (In Civil Law)
School is not giving transfer certificate because I have signed rollover form. But my child admit in another school now. Plz help
Even if you signed a rollover form, the school cannot deny the Transfer Certificate (TC) unless there are pending dues. Since your child is already admitted elsewhere, you have the right to get the TC. Send a written request to the school. If they don’t respond within 7 days, you can complain to the District Education Officer or the concerned education board. You can also send a legal notice if needed.

To, The Principal, [School Name], [School Address] Subject: Request to Cancel Submitted Rollover Form Respected Sir/Madam, I am writing to respectfully request the cancellation of the rollover form submitted for my ward/myself, [Student's Name], currently studying in Class [Current Class]. Due to certain personal/family reasons, we have decided not to continue in the upcoming academic session at your institution. Therefore, I kindly request you to cancel the rollover form and halt any further admission or fee process based on that form. I would be grateful for your support and confirmation of the cancellation. Thank you for your cooperation. Date: [Insert Date] Yours sincerely, [Student's Name] Parent/Guardian Name: [Your Name] Class: [Current Class] Roll No.: [If applicable] Signature: on. that form
A school cannot legally withhold a Transfer Certificate (TC) from a student, even if a rollover form has been filled.
You should first attempt to understand the reason for the school's refusal by writing letter to the principal or the school management.
Keep records of all communication with the school, including letters and complaints.
If the school remains non-compliant, you can approach the District Director of Education (DDE) to intervene or can file writ petition against the school
