Third party sharing my Aadhaar card

I gave a copy of my Aadhar card to my Cooperative group Housing Society. they have given it to police without asking me. Police did not have any court order nor their investigation had anything to do with my aadhar card. Is the Society authorised to give my aadhar card like this? Can I take any action against the policeman?

the first point is why did you supply the Adhar card to your cooperative group Housing society. was there any problem for which the society was asking for it? if there was any problem then you should have refused if there was any but if there was no problem then normally the housing society does not ask for it. you cannot take any action against the police personnel because you have not written on the aadhar where is to be used

yes you can lodge a formal complaint against the police official and the person using your aadhar card moreover they are also liable to pay you the compensation as per the Indian law system. you can approach directly to high court or you can also file a civil suit against for damages in civil court.

Yes you can take a action against the co operative society as this a your sensitive information that this should not be shared. You can also file a complaint against the society with the registrar as this violation of your right to privacy. There need to be reason that the police was asking for your aadhar. Contact an advocate for the same as more details are needed in this matter.
