Sold the bike but the buyer is not registering it on his name
28-Aug-2023 (In Civil Law)
I sold my bike 2 months back but the buyer did not change the ownership till now. I want to log a complaint in RTO regarding this. Please suggest how to achieve this?
The problem having your name in Registration certificate is that may get into trouble any time if vehicle is met with accident. Have you and buyer signed form 29 & 30? If yes send a copy of that to your concerned RTO by way notice of change in ownership. Legally the buyer has the duty to change the ownership as soon as possible. In order to avoid any legal trouble send a copy of all above relevant documents including sale note.
Hi, hope you have taken the acknowledgment of the Form 29 filled up and attested with seller’s signature. Also Form 30 must be filled up along with the seller’s as well as purchaser’s signature with the chassis print affixed. Please handover these to the RTO along with an application informing about sale of your vehicle to the buyer with all his details.

So long as the vehicle stands in your name you are liable for any accident and accidental claims to the victims
