. Make an affidavit stating both names belong to the same person (your father). 2. Publish a name clarification notice in two newspapers (one local, one national). 3. Apply to the ICSE board for correction/clarification in father’s name with: • Birth certificate • Father’s Aadhaar/PAN copy • Affidavit + newspaper notice Many boards allow such corrections as a name expansion/clarification. 4. Use the full legal name (Mohammad Wasim Akhtar) consistently in all future records. If a board or college refuses despite proof, you can approach the education board grievance cell or file a writ petition in High Court for correction. Keeping IDs legally correct is more important than matching an old school entry

Since you wish to change your surname, it is generally advisable to complete the surname change first and then update your records in sequence. Removing the parent’s name altogether is generally not permitted. You may be able to update or correct details where the law permits, but complete deletion is usually not accepted.
