related to women rights in offices

I am a Government officer. Some colleagues and journalists have an objection to my clothing in my personal life. I wear Western clothes in my home and outside. I wear sarees and suits in the office. I am advised not to wear Western clothes as I am an officer. Can I do something about it legally?

It's all about the tendency.

if they advise you to tell them, according to the constitution of India freedom of person article 19
article 21 personal life of liberty. According to that article in the constitution you can wear anything you want. there is no restriction.

Hello! It depends on which government office you are working whether they have mandatory of dress code? . You have to check whether any such dress code is mandatory. Some government places have some rules of conduct, etc.
