Regarding Notary marriage if witness sign with wrong name

Sir, being a witness for marriage through notary(Stamp paper) with wrong name, is it an offence or not ?

Furnishing wrong information in regards to legal documents is an offence. However marriage before Notary on stamp paper cannot consider as marriage. Legal Marriage 1. customary ritual marriage 2.marriage registration in deputy commissioner office or district Magistrate office. will consider as proper and legal marriage.
