Refund from a coaching Institute

08-Feb-2023 (In Civil Law)
I paid fees of Rs 22000 including the registration fees of Rs 2000 for doing an MBA coaching. Partly, the amount was paid from my savings and partly from the parents. After telling the fees and location of the coaching to my family, my father disagreed for the coaching due to safety issues and financial problems of the family. Being a female child, it is obvious for a father to worry about my safety but money is also the problem in attending the classes. The total fees stand at around Rs 50000-55000 (varies with coaching centers). Seeing the safety and financial condition, I asked the coaching institute to refund the fees paid, but I am being denied. I have not attended a single class and don't want to waste my money. Please help me.

Firstly you have to see the receipt which you have got after paying money to the coaching institute. Please see if there is forfeiture clause. Also try to collect the information pertaining to the agreement which coaching institute does with the students. After collecting these information, you have to proceed further.
