Que. : I want to change the mother's name and child's surname in the birth certificate in odisha , how can I do the same

You can do the same via contacting to the nearest Sub divisional magistrate office of the district. They can make all changes in the name of mother and child's surname. After that you have to get it published through the vernacular newspaper into the locality. It will take around 10-15 days and it varies state to state.

Name can be changed through official gazette. We have to submit some list of documents and after verifying the same our changed name will come through official gazette. I personally don’t know what is the procedure in Odisha but in Delhi we post our documents through speed post in form CD.
