Sir, I have to give some amount of money to my own brother. But i don't have that sum of money with me.He disagree and file a petition in the police station. The police officer says that within two days the money should be given and i agreed by signing. But i fail to state i dont have the money. What should i do.Is there any possibility to arrest me
You can be called to police station but can't be arrested until a formal complaint is filed against you.
It also depends the amount should not be too high.

Your brother cannot go to police as you have not committed any offence. Even if you had issued a cheque which you have not mentioned to have issued, police has no role to play.u can make a complaint to DCP/DSP concerned as police is interfering in the dispute between you and your brother which is purely a civil dispute.

How can your brother file a petition in police station instead of court. Police is for criminal acts and maintenance of law & order not for the recovery of money. Police cannot do anything in this matter. Just try to settle the matter with your brother or with the court.
