Procedure to get death certificate of my father

Sir/mam..my father is missing ,when i was 1 year old.. its almost 20 year that my father is missing..how should i get death certificate n i dnt hve any fir copies
As per the civil procedure code, a person may be declared dead if he has been missing and unheard of for more than past seven years and you have to file a suit for declaration for the aforesaid purpose. However, in order to declare that the person has been missing a police complaint at appropriate time would have been better and in the present case you will have to take assistance of other evidence and witnesses to prove the same. After the declaration is made, you will get the death certificate from MCD office.
