NO TRACE OF DOCUMENT ALREADY RECEIVED VIA RTI

I have filed a police complaint against a person and received his written statement via rti in 2017, now I again asked for it via rti, but there is no trace for my complaint with the police, but I have that statement, sealed and signed by inspector, what to do ?

If no FIR is registered regarding the complaint filed, then the police would maintain and retain complaint records for 3years, so you can get copies via RTI within 3years from the date of complaint. Regards, Advocate Ragul Sivanand, A.R.S Law Associates, Nagercoil.
