Name of a person in different government documents

04-Jan-2026 (In Civil Law)
My name is 'KARIKA A', where 'KARIKA' is my first name and the initial 'A' is from my mother's name 'ANBU'. I am 22 years old.The documents where my name is given as 'KARIKA A' are:1) 10th, 12th, Degree Certificates, 2) AADHAAR CARD. My name has been entered in PAN CARD as: 'KARIKA ANBU'. My PAN Card has been linked with AADHAAR. I have not applied for the PASSPORT yet. QUESTIONS: I) FOR INDIAN VOTER ID, when filling FORM 6, should I enter only first name (or) name as per aadhaar (or) full name?

For Voter ID (Form 6), you should enter your name exactly as it appears in your Aadhaar card, since Aadhaar is the primary identity proof used for verification by the Election Commission. In your case, if Aadhaar shows the name as “KARIKA A”, you should fill Form 6 with “KARIKA” as first name and “A” as surname/last name, or as a single combined name if the form permits. Avoid using a different expansion like “ANBU” unless Aadhaar is first corrected. Consistency across Aadhaar, PAN, and Voter ID is important to avoid future discrepancies, especially for passport and other government records.
