Name Change for a US Citizen Affecting Indian Birth Certificate

10-Nov-2023 (In Civil Law)
I was born in India but am a naturalized US citizen. I am legally changing my name in the United States. However, I want to know how my name change in the United States may affect the accuracy and validity of their original Indian birth certificate. Will my name change be recognized or recorded in the Indian birth certificate. Will the Indian authorities be informed of this change? Are there any formalities or documentation required to update the birth certificate issued in India?

As per procedure they are not likely to change the name in Indian records unless you get a court decree by submitting the documents of change of name carried out in U.S, you have to do it by filing a suit for declaration in court which can be done by you personally visiting India or through a power of attorney who can represent you and get it changed.
