Mother's Name Discrepancy Issue for Non-ECR Passport Application

Regarding my mother's name, my education and birth records list her as 'Sheetal,' while her Aadhar & Pan card state 'Sangita.' The transition from 'Sangita' to 'Sheetal' occurred after marriage, but we lack documentation. To get a Non-ECR passport, authorities require a Gazette certificate confirming both names refer to the same person. Unsure if it's a 'Name Change' or 'One and Same Person' case, but the latter option is unavailable. We wish to retain 'Sangita' as her original name. Need advice

from your query it is noted that your mother , maiden name is Sheetal. But in aadhar and pan mentioned as Sheetal. in this case pls apply for name change in govt gazzatte. once it is done then go for changes in aadhar & pan , passport. govt gazzatte is very much required for this change . you may apply from Aaple Sarkar via login credentials. if you are not able to do this then pls write to us to correct all details . hope you will take this further
