What can we do if my partner and I have entered into a live-in relationship and we have signed a live-in relationship agreement and our family/society is harassing or beating us?

Police Complaint: If you or your partner are being harassed, threatened, or physically harmed, immediately file a complaint at the nearest police station under Sections 506 (criminal intimidation) & 323 (causing hurt) of IPC. Protection Order: You can approach the court under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, which also covers live-in relationships. The court can pass protection orders restricting family or third parties from interfering.

Well, you can seek Police Protection, if Police refuses to protect you, file a Writ Petition in Court to seek protection from the moral policing of Society and your family members. Hope this has given you clarity.
