Dear Client, Please be informed that when you got the job in non-exempted General category holding an OBC - A Certificate and if said certificate is cancelled post verification of candidature, then your job may be at stake. A candidate holding OBC A CERTIFICATE must support his/her candidature by such certificate issued by the competent authority post identification of the caste of the candidate. However, before termination of service, an opportunity is given to an employee to defend the charge brought against him or her following the principle of natural justice. You may then consult with an expert professional or hire him to defend and navigate the matter rightly and effectively.

So, legally, yes — your job can be terminated if the OBC-A certificate is finally invalidated and your appointment depended upon that reservation benefit. But termination is not automatic in every case, and you may have remedies depending on the reason for cancellation and your merit position.
