Is SDO lower than SDM in Pune, Maharashtra

Respected Sir/mam,
I got selected for Central Government group C services, I want to get sign of either Stipendiary First Class Executive Magistrate/ District Magistrate or Sub-Divisional Magistrate on character certificate. So my query is :
1. Can I get Sub - Divisional officer's sign?
2. Is SDO lower than SDM in Maharashtra
Pls clarify as soon as possible I want to submit documents
SDM का फुल फॉर्म सब डिविजनल मजिस्ट्रेट होता है. सब डिवीजन SDM द्वारा नियंत्रित किया जाता है, जो अक्सर जिला स्तर से नीचे का एक प्रशासनिक अधिकारी होता है. एक SDM कलेक्टर और एक्जीक्यूटिव मजिस्ट्रेट की शक्तियों का लाभ उठाता है.
