Is it illegal to construct a box grill in a flat? What are the regulations regarding box grills in M

I have constructed a box grill on my hall's window, but the society claims it is an illegal construction. My building has 16 floors, and I live on the 3rd floor. The OC has been received only up to the 14th floor. Recently, the society sent me a lawyer's notice to remove the box grill within 7 days. What should I do? Is a box grill illegal in Mumbai, and what are the BMC rules for box grill size and society rules for grilling?

You can appoint a lawyer and Also claim that box grill is for your safety of your property . That ownership belongs to you. And no loss has been suffered to others native people. Therefore, no loss no claim .

It all depends upon the prevailing situation there...if the box grill is creating obstruction of light and air or if it is going into the space of others or if creation of such grill is causing nuisance of any sort to others etc. You can reply to the notice in an appropriate manner through advocate
