Interior designer firm Livspace not delivering even after 9 months

Hi, my interior designing firm Livspace took advance money from me in Jan 2019 with the promise deliver the interiors of my home within 3 months. However it’s been 8 months now and my home is not yet ready. Repeated follow ups , escalations and complaints have not yielded any result. Last month, they agreed to complete the project by sept 30th however now again the deadline been pushed to oct 10th. This has put me in a lot of stress , completely jeopardised my entire family life, not to mention the massive loss of money ( I am paying extra rent of 40k per month for last 5 months along with house EMI). My father is a brain stroke patient and i am waiting to get him back to bangalore when my home is ready for his continuing treatment. Livspace team aware of my personal problems but they have not relented and not delivering. Also all process they quoted to me are overpriced and not as per market standards. I want to know if I can file a case against them and what are my options here.

You can file case against them civil suite recovery are directions to complete work are else you can file consumer court for compensation delay work mental harassment for you any one case you need file then they will work properly otherwise they will post work without reason

we can file a case in District Consumer Forum on the ground that there is a deficiency in service and wrongful loss caused to you on account of delay on part of the seller. You can also claim compensation for loss.

if you are having a written agreement between you and livspace ,then for what they have done is in violation of any of the terms, you can get a proper legal notice carefully drafted issued to them. Whether they reply or not within a specified time you can go ahead and take legal action to recover adequate compensation from them for the violations
