IIM Admissions through OBC-NCL , issue about correct criteria.

10-Jun-2024 (In Civil Law)
Joining, IIM in 2024, I belong to OBC and my father is a police officer of class 3/group C in MP. I have a valid OBC-NCL certificate since only class of officer is taken into account while making OBC NCL certificate. Also my father's total income after deductions on ITR is less than 8 lakhs. But during my IIM Admissions the college has asked specifically for Form 16 and my father's salary on form 16 is just above 8 lakh. Can IIM deny me admission only due to income even with valid certificate.

well, if your details was accurate at the time of filling that, no need to worry. but as you said they ask for form 16, and you fill the accurate salary of your father at that time, ight help you, because you have done nothing wrong. they may consider to give you benifits of that certificate or not. that's all.
