*Situation Analysis* It sounds like there's a dispute with your neighbor regarding the usage of common toilets in a house you own in Hubli. Your sale deed specifies you can use one of the toilets, but your neighbor broke all four toilets without notice, claiming they're his property. You've applied for a surveyor's verification, but the surveyor (who allegedly took money from your neighbor) says the sale deed holds no value compared to the layout plan. This seems inconsistent, especially since the surveyor suggests your neighbor's sale deed has value but needs a layout plan change. *Key Points to Consider* - *Sale Deed vs. Layout Plan*: In property disputes, both sale deeds and layout plans are crucial documents. Sale deeds prove ownership and rights, while layout plans show the property's design and boundaries ¹ ². - *Surveyor's Bias*: If the surveyor took money from your neighbor, it raises concerns about bias and the validity of their statement. - *Rights to Common Toilets*: Your sale deed specifies you can use one of the toilets. If your neighbor broke all four without consent, this could be considered an infringement on your rights. *Possible Solutions* - *Consult a Lawyer*: Engage a property lawyer to review your sale deed, layout plans, and other relevant documents. They can help you understand your rights and guide you on how to proceed. - *Verify Documents with Local Authorities*: Check with local authorities (like the municipal corporation or registrar's office) to confirm the property details and legal status. - *Dispute Resolution*: If necessary, your lawyer can help you explore options for resolving the dispute with your neighbor, potentially through mediation or legal action.
