I am working on a post of clerk from 2013 at my office and eligible for promotion from 2016. Clerk have two options to get promotion. First option is the post assistant which is the regular cadre of clerk and other option is the post of awbn which is different cadre. I had the option to go in line of awbn from 2018,2019,and 2020. But concerned branch of my office doesn't intimate or take the options during these years. But they intimate during 2021. I want to ask whether is it mandatory to intimate or take options and can I claim the promotion from back date.
