How to show income proof when I am self-employed

I need to show income proof because I want to apply for ration card. I sell food from my home and that is how I earn a living. I am also a student but I have no food licence or anything like that. My monthly income is anywhere between Rs5000 to Rs12000. Please tell me what I can do I will be very grateful.
I don't know what kind of business you do.first you have to obtain trade licence and the other licence is required as differ on the nature of the business.if you sell any food item you need food licence.

It is quite obvious for you not to have an income certificate as you sell food from your house now the only ways you can get an income certificate either by filling a return before the Income tax authority or a letter of your local councilor or a Pradhan.
