How to send a legal notice, if the address of the party is not known

I want to send legal notice to few of my class mates. But I don't know their mailing address. These are questions here. 1. Can I file a RTI applications to the university seeking home address of these students. 2. If not, how can I get the mailing address of these students. 3. These guys have distributed nude pics of mine through whatsapp. I want to settle down the issue without going to police. What would be cost of legal notice.? I want to send three legal notice from experience lawyer of high court. Thank you.
First of all, it is a matter of criminal law, so there is no need of issuing any notice unless you want compensation from them. If they are still students of your university, file a complain through your advocate before the magistrate putting their univeristy address (you can try RTI and keep it as evidence even if it is rejected). In any case matter will be investigated by police. Save your evidence, without evidence you will lose your case. Our "law firm" has High Court advocates, but this will be dealt in District Criminal Court, (and Civil court in case of monetary damages)

Legal Notice can also be sent via email. If you are using microsoft outlook for e-mail, you can generate delivery receipts as well as read receipts. Appropriate settings can be done going into tools-options-email options-tracking options. Those receipts can be used to prove delivery. It is important to get a documentary proof of acknowledgement of the receipt
Section 67 of the IT Act, 2008, says that if somebody publishes or transmits any material which is lascivious or appeals to the prurient interest or if its effect is such as to tend to deprave and corrupt persons who are likely, having regard to all relevant circumstances, to read, see or hear the matter contained or embodied in it, shall be punished on first conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years.
So, this is a serious offence and you are entitled to file a case against these people.
