How to obtain Letter of authoziation

I would like to know how to obtain letter of authoziation for banking purpose in pune. If father sings a letter of authoziation for operating banks on his behalf in favour of son, then both parties have to be present in register office or just by notery, banks accept that letter. Need to know the exact procedure.
Only notary is required. You can execute a Power of Attorney in place of letter of authorization. Both parties need to be present before notary officer. However, you must first visit the bank branch and ask from them the required documents that they require.
