Dear Client,

Thank you for writing your query

Here i can see your query on "How to file a petition for road widening" and it is differs with your explanation not 60ft it just 40ft as per GHMC and Town planning records, i understand your constructing a house and its still under construction level in the middle some other colony member came and interrupting by saying its 60ft road so stop building your house.

Do not get panic about this issue, you can absolutely go-head with your house construction, if you have with all necessary proof of documents which are the below.

1. House construction permission from the local muncipality
2. layout of you house plan as per GHMC permits which is designed by the engineer
3. Better to have a proof of what is the exact road limits as per town planning records i.e. 40ft rd or 60ft rd as your saying its only 40ft (have it in proof)
4. Also have a documentation of all the requirements of begins of your house from municipal permissions

But in case the road limit is 60fts as complained by opponent then you need to face a loss or need to go legally by filing a suit against the local municipality for issuing house construction permission without surveying location.
