But my rc is still on my grandfather's name (he has gifted me the car )....i dont have the message now as the message would have gone to him , cant retreive that , should i first transfer rc to my name and then follow the procedure or i can submit this challan in any court or saket court? RC is NOT required to be transferred to your name. Did they provide you a photographic proof of jumping the read light? If there is no proof then you can dispute the challan by writing in the email id provided.

The reason police have called you for submission of all documents is to see whether your documents at the time of the incident were present. That means you should be having a valid pollution, insurance and DL on the date of challan . If the documents were not valid on that date then you can be levied to more challan.

The court will the one that is in jurisdiction of Lajpat Nagar, mostly the date is one month after and its nothing to be nervous about, my only advice is not to take anyone's help there in court and go on your own before the judge when your name will be called.

Hope this helps.
