Harassment for keeping pet cats

Respected Madam/Sir, my name is Sana and I have this problem I need your advice on. I am a tenant staying with my husband in a Flat in Ekram Heritage Bldg. in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, since past 1.5 yrs. I keep 4 Russian cats as pets and their permanent resting place in our 670sq ft Flat. is our Bedroom's balcony because it is spacious enough for them to stroll around and feel comfortable. Unlike other pet owners, we don't take them out for strolls and if they must have their playtime in the outer world, we use carry baskets to carry them back and forth from the park. 1. How far is the society legally allowed to do what they are doing to me... I mean harassing me to sell off my cats citing false excuses 2. What sort of tenancy rights do I enjoy under the given situation... if I am ready to pay the rent asked from me. I mean can my flat owner force us to vacate, if we are paying the rent he has asked for? Needless to add he himself says he has no problem with me keeping pets etc
