Father's name spelling different in 10th and 12th certificate.

In every document of my father, spelling is Abhoy Roy. Also in every document of mine including my class 12th documents has the same spelling. But in my birth certificate and 10th documents the spelling is Abhay Roy. So if I correct my Birth certificate, Can a affidavits be the solution ?
as you have to do correction in the name change of your documents first you need to make an affidavit of name change then go for paper publication and noc of the advocate and next finally you have do gazetted publication so that in future you will have no problem....
