Expedited hearing for senior Citizens

30-Jan-2023 (In Civil Law)
Sir, the honourable judges of division bench, Calcutta high court ordered to make paper book to the advocate of the appellant in a civil first appeal filed by the plaintiff against the judgement of civil court Calcutta in which appellant failed to prove and the suit was dismissed, giving 50% share in the suit property to my late maternal grandfather. 1)My question is that whether my maternal grandmother, a respondent, a widow of 71 years of age with health problems would get expedited hearing due to senior Citizen. If yes, please cite any order wherein the apex court or any high court decided that senior citizens must get priority in court cases.

Senior citizens can get priority hearing in courts For the convenience of senior citizens Bombay High Court has decided to give priority in its roster to the cases where at least one of the parties is above sixty years old if such a request is made by the concerned party
You have to give a letter to the court Registrar stating the delay and your age On going through the merits of the case the Registrar will pass orders to list the case considering you as senior citizen
