don't want to give way to neighbour on my private property

I am about to start construction of home on my land. I don't want to give pathway to neighbours. The pathway comes on my land. At present there is no construction so they are using my land for pathway. Moreover,on their side they have one path which is used by pedestrians. The pathway from my land is used for 4 wheelers and Bikes.So. if I dont give passage on my land, will it be a legal issue?
