Date Of Birth Correction in 10th Secondary Board Certificate

04-Feb-2026 (In Civil Law)
My date of birth was mentioned wrongly by my grandparent while admitting me into the school in year 2000 and Due to lack of legal knowledge I didn't do anything since then. I am 25 year old person. I have passed my 10th in 2015. After finding this issue, I have extracted the correct information of my Date Of Birth from Municipal Authority of Ulhasnagar and I have submitted the request to correct my date of birth on Aadhaar as per the DoB mentioned on my Birth Certificate.

Apply through your school (very important) → Boards do NOT accept direct applications in most cases. School forwards your request with records to the Board. Submit required fees. Board verifies documents. If approved, revised marksheet/certificate is issued. ⏳ Time: usually 30–90 days.

If birth certificate shows correct DOB, apply to school/board with affidavit and municipal record. If refused due to delay, you may file a civil suit or writ petition seeking correction in educational records.
