Clarification Regarding EWS Reservation Eligibility Based on Land Area

21-Jul-2025 (In Civil Law)
There is a plot of land in a non-municipal area registered under my mother's name. The actual measurement is 167.22 square meters, which converts to approximately 199.99 square yards. However, the land document records it as 167.22 sq meters = 200 sq yards. As per EWS guidelines, eligibility is restricted to families owning less than 200 square yards in non-notified areas. Since our plot is marginally below the threshold, I seek clarification on it.

Since your land is marginally below the threshold, you may still qualify, provided you can submit supporting measurement proof like a recent survey or Municipal valuation certificate. I recommend obtaining a certification deed or supporting affidavit to clarify the true area for EWS application purposes .
