The continuous beeping noise from the neighbour’s CCTV system may amount to legal nuisance and disturbance of peaceful living, even if the camera is not directed towards your property. No person has a right to create continuous noise causing mental stress, irritation, or harassment to neighbours. Since repeated requests have already been made and ignored, you may issue a legal notice demanding immediate repair or removal of the defective device, and if the nuisance continues, a complaint can be filed before the local police, Executive Magistrate, or competent civil court seeking directions to stop the disturbance. Proper evidence such as audio/video recordings, witness statements, and medical proof of mental stress may further strengthen the case.

you may file a complaint in court of law ,If the CCTV camera is emitting a continuous beeping sound that is causing substantial disturbance and affecting your peaceful enjoyment of your property, the issue may amount to a private nuisance. Even if the camera is not directed towards your house, the owner cannot create unreasonable noise that interferes with neighbouring residents. You should first collect evidence, such as audio/video recordings of the noise and statements from other affected neighbours, if any. Thereafter, you may submit a written complaint to the local police station or the competent municipal/local authority seeking redressal of the nuisance. If the problem persists, you may also seek an appropriate injunction and other reliefs before the competent civil court to restrain the continuation of such nuisance. The remedy will depend upon the intensity, duration and effect of the noise on ordinary residential life.
