Can I File Defamation Case Against Husband And Father In Law?

I have received a legal notice from my husband stating that I was not him not even for one month in marital relationship, i have an external affair, iam alcoholic and iam went to a trip with unknown person without informing anyone. Even father in law informing the same to my relatives and assasinating my character and my parents. Can I file a defamation case against both of them with that notice ?
