Can I File Case Against My Advocate?

08-Jan-2023 (In Civil Law)
I hired an advocate for a case regarding Job fraud. He said he would file an FIR and bring the matter to court. He said he would take 10,000 rupees for this case I paid some money. He never told me he would need all this money upfront. After few days demanded the money in a threatening tone and I paid him the remaining amount. He did give me a complaint for the SP office and when my complaint was rejected he made a petition to file in court and he demanded 1000 rupees more to file the case. I realized I was being scammed and told him I no longer need his service. He refused to pay back the my money. I feel I am being cheated. I his attitude toward me a violation and Can I file a case against him?

you can file a case for fraud against that person. but you will have to prove that the advocate has committed fraud against you. I will advise you to change your advocate for the time being.
giving the amount of Rs 10,000/- for complaint is slightly more but not unusual, advocates sometimes do charge such amount for complaints
