Can I add additional points during the appeal to the Supreme Court?

13-Jun-2024 (In Civil Law)
I filed a writ petition in the Delhi High Court for promotion through LDCE. After the first hearing, the petition disposed of due to the not-mentioned required points in my writ petition by the Advocate. Now I want to go with another advocate to appeal that petition to the Supreme Court. In this regard, do I need to get a NOC from my previous advocate? And can I add additional argue points that were not mentioned in the petition? Please help me.

if there is a writ petition to be filed in the supreme court then no NOC is required from your previous advocate because it is not in the same court. Secondly while filing a writ application in the Supreme Court it is advisable that you speak to the advocate about the provision under which the writ application will be filed because Supreme Court allows the writ petition for the fundamental rights cases

You need no NOC type of things from your advocate if you are filing a fresh petition. It's your choice regarding the advocate which you need to hire for your case. And as far as the additional arguments are concerned you can always add any points that you missed in your previous petition before the court.

No need of NOC since the matter has already been dismissed, if it would have been interim transfer of file to another advocate then we would require it. yes you can raise additional law points in SLP and we can help you out in this, if you need further discussion you can reach out to us.
