04-Jul-2023 (In Civil Law)
As a citizen and common man in India - do I have the right to ask any government official (e.g. railway staff at train ticket window, staff at bank etc.) to show me their ID card so I can report to their supervisor if they are doing mischief? or so i can verify they are authentic personnel? Thanks

Yeah definately in order to ensure or to check their authenticity you can definately ask them to disclose their identification card. If any officer refused to do so then you can report an incident to that deprtment to invesigate the matter to determine the truth.
