Can a pregnant women object if the man is marrying someone else
26-Jul-2023 (In Civil Law)
Can a woman raise an objection to a registry of man and another woman if she is pregnant with the grooms child?
No such objection can be raised by the woman as long as the woman has not been married and is not the first wife, however, obtaining consent for sex on a false promise of marriage amounts to rape, however, it must be kept in mind that not all such promises amount to rape. Where a man earlier had a genuine intent to marry but later changed his mind owing to incompatibility then it doesn't amount to rape.
