Arrest for one night and beating us because of one person questioned?

Sir, I am pawanjeet Singh,Last night we are three persons resting in a hotel,then two police person came from outside asking for id then we show id but one of the person from one side asking police person to why we show id then police arrested us and take us in lock up for one night and whole day and beating us all the three persons is they right or wrong?
U can file complaint befor the Honble court
First get the MLC done to prove that torture in custody has been done and secondly if there is no FIR against you then it was wrong detention and for which you have every right to complaint
