Advice Regarding Arms License Application

I had applied for Arms License in October 2019. Since then, after much haggling, finally managed to move the police verification file to DM office. But now came to know that the Tehsil file is missing. Despite visiting Tehsil multiple times and filing IGRS complaints the incompetent officers there are not helping. What are my options now? Should I file an RTI to seek the whereabouts of the file? If a lawyer in my city(Meerut, UP) could takeover this matter, I would be obliged. Thanks.

1. RTI Application (Immediate Step) Reminder via IGRS + Written Compl 3. Approach Higher Authorities 4. Engage a Local Lawyer 5. Possible Writ Petition Grounds Immediate Action Plan 1. File an RTI in Tehsil and DM office this week. 2. Send a registered complaint to DM Meerut and keep acknowledgement. 3. Preserve copies of IGRS complaints already filed. 4. If no positive response in 30 days → engage a Meerut-based lawyer to file a writ petition in Allahabad High Court.

yes you can write a rti regarding the tehsil file as the igrs complaint the incompetent officer tehsil file is missing rti you have to frame questions in the rti in meerut city the rti answer will come then there is a right of 1st appeal
