Do we have some rights to get chances from bank to repay bank loan

We do have default payment in our car loan. Was advise by the bank that our car will be repossession? Do we have rights to give chances because we do have a financial crisis.
If you are defalter in the payment of loan the bank have the right to send you notice and after that if you are continued to be defalter then the bank can file case and after that the car can be auctioned.
