Left job with immediate effect.Company is asking to pay money

hi, i resigend from my last company with immediate effect, in my joinibg letter it was required 3 months notice period, now they are asking me money against notice period, please suggest me best possibility i can do. my company was located in jhajjar, im staying in yamunanagar.
If the clause regarding notice period in the appointment letter mandates 3 months as notice period, then the company can file a suit against you for recovery of notice period pay.
Leaving without notice is breach of the employment contract.
