Person took cheque against my consent what should I do

one person forceably took cheque from me. what can I do to prevent him to encash the cheque.

You can file a formal complaint to your nearest Police Station and you should even write a letter to the opposite party describing the occurence of events and directing him not deposit the cheque for encashment, parallely, supply a copy of the letter to the bank and stop payment on the cheque.

Get the FIR registered and instruct the banker to stop the payment against the said cheque. After then send a legal notice to recover the the said cheque.
