A women or any aggrieved person who falls in the category of person having right to get free legal aid, can directly go to the Supreme Court Legal aid and after going through your, if legal aid dept. is of the view that your case should be taken then your case will be taken by the supreme court legal aid.

Ans 3). No reference is required to get an entry inside the supreme court legal aid premises. As it is situated outside the court building. It’s opposite to post office of supreme court.

Aggrieved person can directly approach legal aid and based on your facts and the kind of legal aid required, they will guide you. You dont need any reference of advocate on record as the legal aid office is conveniently located in the chambers much before the security check point.

An aggrieved person can diirectly approach the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee. There is no requirement for the reference of an advocate-on-record. The legal aid office in the Supreme Court premises is outside the proximity zone.

Any person seeking legal service for filing or defending any action in the Supreme Court has to make an application in writing for seeking legal aid. Application forms are available on SCLSC website as well as in the front office of the SCLSC which the applicant can obtain free of cost. The applicant is also required to submit an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper in support of the application for legal aid. The applicant can also contact the concerned High Court Legal Services Committee/Authority for obtaining the relevant forms of the SCLSC.
