Want to start a software company without leaving my job

I want to register a software company which will be developing software products but I am a working professional. I need an advice what options I have and how can I start a company legally without stopping my work. Also which form of startup is best for me.
Executive director of one company cannot be the employee of any other company. However, if you are non-executive director. You can be an employee of any other company.
