Want to open a food truck or food van. Is there any law or legality pertaining to opening of such food van?
Apart from having a Food Business Operating License (FSSAI License) from the FSSAI (Food Safety & Standards Authority of India) you would require individual licenses from FSSAI for the Delivery Boys/Vehicle. You would also require a Registration License. Further you would also require an eating house license from the Licensing Police Commissioner of your city. You also need to ensure compliance of all the fire safety guidelines. This has to be done before submitting the application, for obtaining a NOC, to the Chief Fire Officer.
