startup on idea stage got closed it wasnt registered or documented

i along with 3 people started a startup which wasnt registered and we started to see if the bussinees will , we were about to register the company and document but the process couldnt get completed.. Now this is supposed to be closed...
now 1 of the partner didnt gave his name during the registration process instead gave his relatives name ... And the same person should send some funds for trials and staff salaried to my account ..Now there is no legal papers.. can he file case on me for funds
Since the startup was unregistered, liability depends on proof of transactions. If funds were for business use, they may claim under contract or fraud laws. Keep records, negotiate, and seek legal help if needed.
