No MRP on products legal in some cases?

Is it legal to sell imported or products manufactured by a local manufacturer without mrp? Because a lot of small manufacturers don't have mrp on their products

It's illegal to sell without MRP. Since there's always a possibility of over charging by the seller, if there's no MRP mentioned on the product.
